TEDU Perceptual Neuroscience Lab

Join the Perceptual Neuroscience Lab

Applicants with a background in psychology, neuroscience, engineering, or related disciplines are encouraged to apply. We welcome applications from individuals interested in visual perception, attention, decision-making, computational modeling, and neuroimaging research.

Lab members contribute to ongoing research projects involving behavioral experiments, programming, data collection, data analysis, and scientific writing. We especially value curiosity, responsibility, careful work habits, and a genuine interest in research.

General Requirements

Our research requires strong programming skills, especially in MATLAB-PsychToolbox and/or Python-PsychoPy. Candidates who already possess these skills or demonstrate strong potential to develop them are encouraged to apply.

Please note that lab members are expected to make a commitment for at least two semesters.

Who Can Apply?

Undergraduate Students

Students enrolled in psychology, engineering, or related fields who have successfully completed PSYC312 / Biopsychology or related courses and PSYC310 / Cognitive Psychology are eligible to apply. A minimum CGPA of 3.5 is required for consideration.

Graduate Students

We invite applications from individuals pursuing or planning to pursue a master’s or doctoral degree in psychology, neuroscience, or a related field. Applicants should have a strong academic background, programming skills, and an interest in visual perception and decision-making, computational modeling, and/or neuroimaging research.

Research Assistants / Interns

Candidates with an interest in visual perception and decision-making, computational modeling, and/or neuroimaging research are welcome to apply. Prior experience or skills in psychophysics, modeling, and/or programming will be considered an advantage.

Related Backgrounds

We welcome motivated applicants from psychology, neuroscience, cognitive science, engineering, computer science, and other related disciplines who are interested in contributing to interdisciplinary research.
